Challenges with turbo upgrades?

I ordered a 2020 C63s last year, then ended up getting a 2019 BMW M5 instead. It has been an absolute beast, turned with meth injection. However, a lot of other people with them are blowing turbos and engines. I hate having to worry about a 60k repair bill every time I put my foot down. I'm looking for another car that can be modded to 750-850hp and handle it without building the engine. I know a few people here have gone with pure turbos. Has anyone had issues bending rods or anything? On a 2020 would the transmission be an issue? If I remember right the 9 speed wasn't handling power quite as well.

12k miles on pure 900 and 0 issues with the engine. I push it pretty hard every time I drive and even took it on a 6k miles cross country. 800 whp is no problem for this engine but need to upgrade the trans to hold more then 1000nm. Also look into csf heat exchanger cause heat will be a problem if you are pushing hard on a hot summer day. Last thing is fuel pump. I think it maxed out at around 800. Lastly it won’t feel as fast as your m5 from a standstill cause of traction problems

Thanks for the quick response. That's crazy they don't need tons of upgrades to handle the turbos. Good to know. What kind of 60-130 times do you get? I was around a 6.0 with the M5 and would like my next car to be in the 5s. I originally got the M5 because I liked the crazy 0-60 pulls. But now I find myself enjoying 2WD mode and being sideways if I'm below 60 anyways, so it doesn't really matter.

Agree with the earlier post above, only thing I would add is that I do not believe there are enough 800 plus WHP W205 vehicles out there to really have a solid history or enough data points to determine actual reliability or how long a set up like that will last on the factory internals.

I think 800 crank hp would hit my goal. Do the E63s or GTs have the same engine internals?

e63s ang gt63s have stronger forged internals. So hitting 800 to the wheel is really easy. You won’t need to upgrade the heat exchanger or anything. The trans will be the biggest weakness. So if you wanna see the full potential of these amg then tuning/upgrading the trans is a must
