W205 c63 sedan confirmed sizes, but Will a 295/30/20
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to finish RDO247's thread on Coupe wheels on a sedan. Unfortunately with Australia regulations he was not allowed to fit check a 295 on his car. I have a 2016 c63s Edition 1 sedan and would like to instalI a 295/30/20 PS4. I will most likely go with a 10.5" wheel seeing that some members are using couple wheels, but I have no problem going with a 10" if I need to have tire stretch.
Here are some confirmed sizes I have tried and seen on threads.
Currently running 285/35/19 Ps4s with Kw adjustable springs with 3/4" drop. Yes 35 is uncommon, but $350 for two Ps4's with 95% thread!!! Who wouldn't. After using some plastic shims the smallest gaps between the sidewall and wheel liner are 5/8'' to 3/4''. The liner to tire surface is 1/2" to 3/4" , but I am not worried about that clearance since I have adjustable springs. Yes adjusting the spring height will allow for better clearance between the tire surface and liner.
295/30/19 Definitely fits with Toyo's and Michelin's and 10 or 10.5'' wheels with stock height. There are threads for days of confirmed fitment.
20x10.5 +50 with a 285/30/20 that did rub on the liner, but +57 fixed the rubbing. by C3504matic
19x11+60 with 5mm spacer with 305/30/19 on kw adjustable lowering springs. Not sure of drop, by JaeJin Sohn
20x10.5 coupe wheels with 285/25/20 Ps4's with Hr lowering springs seen at a car show, but I couldn't find the owner. I wasn't able to see how close the tire was to the wheel well liner. I believe my pinky was able to fit so I'd say 8mm. My pinky measures 3/8 inch thick. Yes I had my fingers all up in someone else's car. Not a big deal unless you choose your car over a significant other
What do you guys think? I know there are many people trying to lay this question to rest so any information would be helpful.
Also if anyone has a 295/30/20 tire laying around who's in SoCal that I could try on my Vossen 20x10 wheels.
