C63 Coupe Roof rack question

I have a c63 coupe, and I’m trying to purchase a roof rack for my road bike. was looking at the sea sucker system, but I’m curious what others have done.

Anyone have suggestions or part numbers for a coupe?

I can definitely recommend SeaSucker. I have the Talon. I think it's the best setup for a car like this. It's quickly put up and torn down w/o leaving an unsightly rack behind if you are not using it. Perhaps not the best solution if you plan to park your car somewhere with the bike on it. They do have a lock cable setup, but I don't think it works particularly well with frameless windows. I pretty much only use it when going for a ride and don't really stop anywhere in between. If I do, I take it down and lock the bike against a pole or something.

I have OEM roof rack, perfect fit. I think I paid something around $200 4 years ago

Couldn't find it, sorry. Call your local dealer and they will give you parts numbers based on your VIN

I used a Yakima roof rack on my '15 sedan for forever. Worked perfectly fine and was super easy to take on/off the car once you get everything set up the first time.

I shied away from the Seasucker because I liked the security that came with a rack bolted to the factory mounting points. Yeah, I know a good thief can pick the little locks that you can get for the Yakima racks, but it's way more secure than the Seasucker, even with the cable lock thingy that can go with it.

As for the rack itself (ie. the part your bike attaches to), I'd recommend getting one where you remove the front wheel. The latch/skewer those racks use to attach the front fork to the frame are much more secure than the racks that keep the front wheel on the bike. With the speeds our cars can get up to, you'll want that extra security. Been up well into triple digit speeds with the bike up top without any issues (other than the wind tearing the electrical tape on the leading edge of end of my bar tape). And like the bars/towers/rack parts, you can get a skewer that has a lock on it so someone can't just easily walk off with your bike.
