Hello guys,

I recently registered here. However, I have been following this forum for a while. I have a problem, I bought a car from Germany (Mercedes Official dealership) and they told me that the car has AMG Performance Exhaust, but once the car arrived to my country, when I looked inside there's not Exhaust button, not even in the car configuration.

Is it possible that I have PE without the button? The car pops and crackles in Sport +. Also, in cold start you can notice a different sound (like valves opened).

No, that's not possible. The PE comes with the button to control it and can also be configured in the Individual mode, and it's set to open in Sport+ and Race modes. In Germany the PE is still optional. Here in the USA it's standard equipment on the 2019+. Sure way to tell is to decode your VIN or get a detailed build sheet from the dealer. The PE is option code U78.

BTW, the pops and crackles are not a function of the PE. Those are a function of the engine, specifically the ignition timing, and they occur whether you have the PE or not.
