Superswiss, where'd you get this info? I know you're quite well networked but my EDP guy hasn't said anything about this in his last email to me a few days ago.

Dont get caught up in watching that car tanker move that car around.. I remember last year, it was torture on some folks... lol
If the ship sits off port for couple days, your likely to try and swim out and get your car...

Update 2021 c63s sedan coming from south africa is going to be arriving in Mercedes VPC in Brunswick, GA on the 29th..... I live in Atlanta, GA about 6 hours away so if all goes well it should clear the preparation center in a few days and also only take a few more days to reach my location. I am positive it should be here by mid Jan. Feb at the worst case hopefully not!!!
The car is currently on a ship it just got to Belgium, it has sailed up the west African coast, made some stops, stopped in Spain, France and now Belgium. Hopping it begins its journey towards the US soon, there could be another ship that other models are on, maybe coupes & cabriolets, can anyone confirm if they know of a different ship name ? Mine is on "Precious Ace"

Update here too!
Car reached the Baltimore VPC 11/18, and it's still sitting there. MB isn't releasing MY21 vehicles until "mid-December", I don't really understand why my car needs to be released, the only difference between the 21 and 20 C63 is that the previously optional digital dash is now standard. I can understand models that may have had significant updates, but this is still a W205. Yes, it's a first world problem, but it's still not a good customer experience.
Also, an update on the ventilated seats thing... MB didn't drop them for 21', there was a glitch in the dealer ordering system. I repeatedly challenged the dealer on this, even asking the inventory Manager to reach out to MBUSA to clarify, which she evidently did not do. So I reached out, and got a swift reply that I was right and the dealer was wrong.

Every model year has to be officially released. The mpg numbers and the certifications have to be done for each model year. Since the diesel scandal there has been much more scrutiny with the German manufacturers to make sure they are not trying to sneak something in again. Even if there are only minor changes, the EPA etc. needs to certify each model year before they can legally be sold in the country. This process has been taking much longer in recent years, partly because emissions standards are getting more strict every year. The 2019s were not released until sometime late January. The 2020s I believe were released sometime in December. So I would expect the 2021s to be released somewhere in the same timeframe. It seems that the regular models get released first, because those are the volume sellers and they have favorable fuel economy. The bigger engine models and AMGs tend to get released last.
In addition there are sometimes last minute changes that have to be made as part of the certification, so that can delay the release even more. It's the same thing in other countries. You can find threads back from 2019 where people's cars were sitting at the ports for ages supposedly waiting on a software updates or parts. There's unfortunately little transparency into the process at the VPC. Dealer can only track the car once it leaves the VPC or can ask for an update from them if they have one.

I ordered mine (a Coupe) back in June, build started September 3, and car was finished October 7 I think. Arrived in Baltimore 11/18. The ventilated seats aren't super effective from what I hear from those who have them, its just fan air not actual AC, but I included them in my build nonetheless. Dealer said they weren't able to add them with the AMG seats, which I knew to be false. There was a lot of back and forth with them, which ultimately led me to reach out directly to MBUSA, who confirmed that there was a "glitch in the dealer ordering system", not sure if that was country-wide or just my dealership though. Instead of canceling the car, I used that as leverage to negotiate a better deal. Here's how my build looks on the updated online configurator

Not to rub salt into the wound, the seat ventilation with the performance seats is actually very nice and works quite well. I think there are some concerns with the standard seats. Correct, they don't actively cool, but they blow cooled cabin air to your backside and most importantly let your backside breath. With the tight fit performance seats, air doesn't really get back there otherwise and the sweaty back syndrome will kick in. I find the ventilation effectively cools down a hot seat in the summer and avoids a sweaty/sticky backside. It has perforation in the side bolsters, too, which I think the standard seats don't have.
There always seems to have been confusion about the performance seat ventilation. It was new for the 2019 C63, but wasn't added to other models. The online configurator for 2019 and 2020 never allowed to add it, and it was actually a different option in the order guide that essentially deleted the standard heated seats, and then added heated and ventilated back.

lol, oh well it is what it is however, the configurator did allow me to add the ventilated option to the AMG seats though when I was building mine back in June,
We have the same interior, it's the best one IMO

Yeah, I noticed that they fixed it for the 2021 configurator, but I guess screwed it up in the dealer system this time. A fix is not complete w/o creating another problem .
