C63 vs c63s

Regarding power, Is the only difference a factory tune? Or is there any engine hardware differences?

Someone told me turbos are larger in the S model. I’m guessing the non S is just a de-tuned S (I know rear axle is different in the S)

Yes, as far as I know the S' engine is just tuned for more power and torque, but the S has dynamic engine mounts, and the non-S doesn't. S has different, bigger brakes and optionally can be had with CCBs. Rear axle situation depends on what model year you are asking about. For PFL the S has the e-diff and the non-S has a mechanical LSD. FL (2019+) both have an e-diff, but the S has the 9-stage traction control from the GT R. S also has a higher top speed, 180 mph vs 155 mph and it has the Race mode, which comes with the AMG DYNAMICS Master mode in the 2019+ models. The S has more standard options, and other options are cheaper than on the non-S.

Turbos are not any different, only mechanical difference is what super Suisse noted.

Reason I ask is in talking to a local tuner the “stage 1 HP increase of around 60 HP would produce higher total HP from the S versus non-S, which makes no sense to me since the “reflash” should produce same result for either motor in terms of peak HP, right?? If turbos, injectors etc are the same between the two models then why would total HP output differ when doing a tune ??

If I am not mistaken, the S model has a wider differential and therefore the rear width of the S is slightly wider due to this.

The only differences are those noted by superswiss. The only difference with the differential is electronic (S model) or not.
