I'm finding it difficult to navigate the MB website as I am trying to see the difference between the 2020/21 C63 convertible as compared to the C63s convertible. I see the standard wheels are different, along with the addition of AMG drive unit in the C63s but interestingly, it seems that the AMG exhaust is standard on the C63, but an option on the C63s. Also, Nappa leather is standard on the C63s and an option on the C63. Besides a one tenth of a second difference in 0-60 between the C63 and C63s and the HP and torque rating, am I getting that much more on a C63s as opposed to a C63 to warrant a $7,600 difference? The kicker as I see it is the AMG exhaust, according to the website is an option on the C63s and included on the C63. Can someone add some insight or explain the big difference in models?

 

This thread is for the W206 C class which is not on sale yet. The C63 AMGs you're looking at are the W205. I own this car's great grandparent, W201. I think the main difference is horsepower. I suggest you ask your questions in the W205 sections of the forum. I think there's one for the AMG version and then also the regular W205. These spots will give you the most accurate information as the participants are owners of the vehicles you're considering.
