Finally ordered, let the waiting begin

After several weeks of car research, test drives, forums questions, more research, a couple more test drives, I finally ordered my 2021 C63s cabriolet. I ordered it from the dealership we've been using for many cars. My deal was just ok at 7% discount. Probably could have done a little better somewhere else but I know it will pay in the long run. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised if MB has some loyalty money when the car comes in. I went over the numbers and told my SA that I think he made a mistake. The price was too low. I'm glad I didn't keep my mouth shut about the numbers. I gave him a detailed configuration list but put down a C63s. I didn't realize he priced a coupe. Made the correction now I wait. I must say after taking a few test drives, I'm more excited with this order than I was with my three Porsche 911's . Many thanks to all of the forum members who took the time to answer my barrage of questions! To Be Continued

Having driven a 2020 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, which is a much more expensive car, I would choose the Porsche. It’s a much better car... and I love my 2017 C63. The Porsche just feels better put together and a much better performance package.

Congrats, may the wait begin. I recommend you ask your SA to email you a printout of the build sheet in Netstar to make sure the order is correct in the system. They can print it out with or without the standard options. I asked for a printout with the standard option and it was quite interesting to see the detailed list of standard options. I did the same thing looking at the price and discovered that they left out the digital instrument cluster at first. Because I did European Delivery I also got the invoice at some point directly from MBUSA to confirm that the order arrived correctly at the factory as well. It can happen that the order gets messed up when the factory accepts it, so you may wanna ask for another build sheet closer to when the order is getting locked. Since we are nearing the end of the lifecycle you may not get another chance to reorder if something gets messed up.

Good Advise superswiss, Thanks!

SD Rider, I know where you are coming from. Quality of build and performance of the 911 especially the handling is second to none. I want a different ride and the C63s seems like it will check off the boxes. Getting older and having a bad back makes the change even more inviting.

Dude, stop hitting the new thread button. These threads are worthless. You're as bad as the crappy vendors here.

I have a 911 and a C63s cab, and the latter is a far better all-around car. The 911 is pretty single-focused, and makes a great second car or track car, but if I had to choose one as a daily it would be the C63s, hands down. Better amenities and tech, better safety, better sound, better practicality.
