Tire sidewall bubble- please inspect.

Tire sidewall bubble- please inspect.
About 10 days ago while entering the FDR in NYC I hit a jarring pothole on driver front tire. I felt it was going to be a immediate blow out but the tire pressures remained the same. After I parked I did only a quick inspection of tires and wheels. No visible damage noticed by me and tire pressure remained the same. So I thought I got lucky this time. I didn't think much more about it as the tire pressure remained was the same.
While getting the car washed this past tuesday the owner pointed two sidewall bubbles on the front driver tire.
I immediately drove to the local All Tire and Rim shop. The owner confirmed the 2 bubbles and felt in needs to be changed but he was not able to obtain the Pirelli Sottozero 3 needed.
I was fortunate that the MB Dealership had it in stock. The next day Wedneday I drove it out and had it installed.
I have a 2 hour round trip this Friday and so grateful to the Car wash for making me aware of it otherwise I doubt I would have inspected the tire/rim for for damage again as long as the tire pressure was correct. A dangerous blow out ready to happen? On the expressway and at night not a good situation.
The tire installed at the Dealership was $400 fully covered by MB Tire and Wheel package that I purchased at the time of sale.
I posted this so others may want to do a close inspection of any sidewall bubbles (pot holes)and not as I neglected to do.
The wheel was not damaged.

Good infos! While waiting for the fuel tank to be filled at a gas station, I always take that opportunity to walk around and look at the sidewall of each tire.
