Heat-cycling semi-slicks
So I bought Pirelli Trofeo Rs for the track. No tire shop here has a heat-cycling service, I know the other way to do it is by running them about 15 minutes on the track, starting easy and finishing fast, and then let them rest for at least 24 hours. But, for my next track day I don't want to run my road tires after doing the heat cycle on the Trofeos. What else can I do?
I'm thinking about finding a stretch of road that would allow me to break them in, but after being done I still have to drive home, wouldn't that defeat the purpose?

My understanding is that once they've reached the desired temperature you need to take them off the car and not drive home on them. Where did you buy the tires from? Tire Rack offers heat cycling for $15 per tire and then they spend the next 24 hours in transit so by the time you get them they are ready to go. Maybe consider returning your Trofeo Rs and order a new heat cycled set from Tire Rack.

I guess my question is, I can't drive as hard on the road as on the track, is it even worth it to try it? Plus I would have to drive back home for about 30 minutes, on the Trofeos, so maybe even less worth it?
How much more life do you get with heat cycling? I heard about 20% more heat cycles (Usually 20, add 5 with a first heat cycle)
