and I highly advise anyone using this, NOT send as a GIFT.. you loose all your protection from a refund when you dont receive your report.

That was really harsh of you to automatically assume this is some sort of scam. If you dont want to send as a Gift that's fine with me. It just helps with fees.
Im just trying to help out anyone who's interested in buying a car, when i bought my C63 i would have loved to pay and $5 for a full carfax report instead of the $39.99. Just giving back now.

I understand your point, but sending as a gift, the buyer has to pay extra as well.. so its NOT really saving anyone, just you.. Its not that I was assuming or attempting to be harsh, but its the reality of the world we live in, and your a NEW member and new poster.
Anyone else would react the same , given the available information...

I understand your viewpoint because of being a new member, though i've owned amg's for the last several years you can see my viewpoint on it. I updated the listing in marketplace if anyone needs a Carfax for their car search!

I had a kind member here run a vehicle history report for me at no charge about a month after I bought my C63.

Just that it was $35 cheaper to use the OP. I assume he has a dealer or wholesaler account, so he can run unlimited searches under his monthly membership, whereas the average consumer like you and I have to pay $40/search

Hats off to MBC63TT. He's providing a great service at a nominal fee. Very entrepreneurial if you ask me! I'm surprised that CarFax doesn't have some sort of "fine print" contractual protection against doing this.

I've done a few CarFax reports with MB63TT. A great service at a great price. Charging $5.00 is providing a great service for forum members.

Got my $5 CarFax regarding a C450 and I'm glad. I'm not pursuing this car. I’m passing on this vehicle for two reasons:
ONE
VIN decoder showed vehicle with delivery date Sept 3, 2015, but CarFax shows first dealership putting the car on sale Feb 23, 2016 with 3,818 miles on it. What happened in those 5 months? Maybe these option codes explain it.
3 MANUAL DATE-CONTROLLED VEHICLE
6 SPECIAL TEST VEHICLE
Seems that the car was produced on an early date for a reason, to be a test vehicle. Google results for "special test vehicle" show that the car was probably for media (magazine) testing. I’m sure it was thrashed!

The private seller just purchased the car in December, had a bunch of work done, and is selling now. Fishy! Probably a problematic car because press reviewers treated the car harshly from the first mile.

I used this service a few times and was pleased. My only complaint was when I paid to get a Manheim report on a car. The report did not give the price that the car was sold for.
