I got my two rear tires changed yesterday. And I noticed that after I received the car back they also put air in the front tires but these numbers are different from what I've used.
Car: 2019 C63s Coupe
I have been using 36 all around cold (meaning that the tires have not been driven in 6-7 hours). This number came from an experienced AMG tech, saying he sees much better and even tread wear for tires that come to the shop with the 36 PSI. So now it sounds like that one of the techsis right and I should follow his advice. Which tech decide with and What is your best/recommended tire pressure and why (if possible)?
You have a sticker inside of your fuel door that tells you the correct tire pressures given the load of the car, type of tire and speed you are planning on driving. They are both wrong essentially. Your shop way overinflated the tires and the 36 all around only makes sense for a fully loaded car (4 people and max cargo) and speeds <155mph. I use 33F/32R as I mostly drive around by myself with little to no cargo in the trunk. If you don't weigh down the trunk, then you need higher pressure in the front, because the front of the car is heavier.
