255/40 R19 on AMG C63S

i currently have the 255/35 R19 Pirelli on my C63s, and recently i was thinking to put on it some 255/40 R19 in the rear and some 245/40/19 in the front. The only concern that i have is if i have the ''space'' to do that. it might look okay for the rear ones but i am not sure for the front tires!

Anyone that tried this? or recommendations?

There are tire size comparison tools on the web where you can enter the dimensions and it shows you how things will change. The 40 aspect ratio tire will be an inch taller, which shouldn't be an issue size wise, but the main issue with going with a taller tire is that your speedo will be off and your ESP may react incorrectly in certain situations, because the speeds it reads are different from expected speeds. Your actual speed will be higher than what the car's sensors read. To make sure you won't have any potential issues you should code the correct tire size with Star Diagnostics and make sure your speedo gets calibrated for the new size as well. The difference is not that big between 35 and 40, though.

Here's a good comparison tool that gives you all the details: https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Just curious as to why you wanted to run narrower but taller tires? The sedan come from the factory with 245 35 19 in the front and 265 35 19 in the rear.

The common complaint is that the car is under tired leading to problems getting the power down.

Stock is 265/30/19

40 might be too big, I went 285/35/19 and had some traction control issues on big highway curves for a couple months then it magically went away.

Planning on increasing the height of my C63s Estate to 40 like you did. Do you have any idea if 265/40/19 would fit on rear? How close are the 255/40/19's to the wheel arch?

I am currently running 245/35/19 front and 265/35/19 rear and don't want to go with a thinner Tyre.
