Head Light Issues

I’ve been trying to find a thread with same issue but I haven’t been able to find anything. So if there is please direct me to it. Thanks.

I have a 2017 c63s. during the day I drive with my DRLs on and the light switch set to auto. I noticed that my car will randomly turn on the driver side headlight. Has anyone ever had this issue or any idea why this could be happening?

I have not come across this issue. The only thing that comes to mind is as far as I know modern headlights have a feature with which they compensate if one part of the headlight fails. For example if your DRL fails in one of the headlights it may turn on the main light instead as a safety feature to compensate for the failing DRL. When the headlight turns on randomly did you notice if the DRL goes dark or are they both on? You probably have to get it diagnosed. If there's no warning light on the dash, there may still be an error code logged.

Make sure you aren’t bumping the light switch one click too far past auto. That activates a specific DRL you can control based upon which side of the street you parallel park on. Lights up one eyebrow and taillight.
