Yeah i got a REALLY good trade on my car! This car was $72k with 8k miles and 6 months old, so practically new. I just don't prefer the color and rims.
Color: XPEL stealth makes this like the design selenite (which is UNREAL) + 5k
Rims: I need the black cross forged but they'll probably be 4-5k
So I'm spending 8-9k and that's 5k-10k from a new S...
But then I wouldn't get the tax benefit of my trade which was 2500
This deal made soo much sense on paper - but I'm feeling I made a mistake

You might be better off hunting for a secondhand set. You should be able to find someone upgrading to aftermarket wheels and selling their OEM

I think they will technically fit, but they are not a proper fit. The coupe wheels have different sizes and offsets, and are staggered. 20" in the rear and 19" inch in the front and at least the rears are wider. The coupe has a wider track in the rear and the front, whereas the sedan has essentially the same rear track as the regular C Class sedan.

Wholeheartedly agree. RIMS are easy, those powder coated ones look awesome. Paint, okay I get it, I was good for any color but black and that is all I kept coming across in the CPO's, and higher mileage
. When you are in the seat, driving and using the car's awesome features, does it really matter what color it is? I mean I would have gotten a black one if I couldn't find something around 80K as that was my limit I "wanted" to spend. Get your rims powder coated or buy a set used, they are everywhere. I have seen some really nice after market for <300 a rim I am thinking about for some winter tires-

If I recall, someone once inquired on ordering the OEM black cross forged wheels. Believe the price from MB was north of $8-9K... more than a set of new HRE's.

Definitely don’t order an OEM cross-spoke set from the dealer. I’ve inquired before and like others have said, my dealer also quoted me north of $10k. The only sensible time get them from factory is to add them at time of build.
I’d keep an eye out for the marketplace here and other secondary market sites. The cross-spoke sets come up fairly often, just make sure you get the right ones since there are variants (sedan, coupe 19/19, coupe 19/20). Sometimes there are even fresh take-offs from factory.
In terms of the paint, in my opinion XPEL PPF is totally worth it. I also got my car in selenite grey metallic by the way. Didn’t bother spending money upgrading to factory magno since I’ve always planned on getting it PPF’d to matte to begin with. Worth every penny IMO for the peace of mind since I daily my C63S, and the PPF makes the car really simple to clean.

Just to add, I went through much of what you’re going through now because when I ordered my 2019 I didn’t upgrade to the cross spoke. That’s because I didn’t realize until too late that the 2019 (first year of facelift) came with different 5-spoke wheels than pre-facelift (which I would have been perfectly fine with, see pic below).
Good news is if you’re patient, you should be able to sell the current set and get the cross spokes you want for about the same net price as if you’ve gotten it from the factory from the start (which is what I ended up doing). It’s just more of a hassle.
At the end of the day though regardless of wheels or paint you now own a beast of a car. Enjoy the ride and try not to get too caught up in the details.

Someone had a MB spec set for sale online (I think on e-bay and maybe even here on marketplace) for a long time. These designs are you either love it or hate it.

Do you mind posting pics of your car before/after the PPF. Selenite grey metallic is my least favorite metallic color but my favorite "Magno" color. If it was up to me I would have gotten the iridium silver metallic with black/red interior!
But the selenite grey magno is UNREAL

Do you mind sharing what the cross spoke black rims ran you? I'm trying to gauge where to price those when I put the same exact ones up for sale in a couple of months. I might sell the entire set w/tires since I plan to upgrade to 305's on the backs and 265 or 275's on the front.
