i was saying back in 2010 I can justify that because OP was asking about how the 2010 m6 is a 130k car and the c63s which is better is worth much less. Of course it’s not a 130k car in 2021. But in 2010, imo 100% yes

I just picked up a C8 earlier this month and I can say that it is a car that is worth more than it costs at MSRP.
Reliability has been perfect for me with stage 2 turbos, 50k miles of hard driving so far. I have a gt63s, there are also rattles. From what I learned taking apart the gt63s and c63s apart to fix creaks and rattles that it's not a quality problems but an engineering one. Creaks 99% comes from rubber seals from the panoramic roof and doors, keep those lubricated and it will stop that. Rattles comes from some of the exposed wiring in the door panels and dash. Much nicer than Audi A4 and a7 interior and also bmw imho. I think the reason Audi and bmw interiors are perceived as better fit and finish is because they are so simple and not as complex as our amg Benz, not a lot of complex trim pieces. There are a few cost cutting things that's in the c class but that is every manufacturer

I was speaking from my experience in which my new '21 C63S Cabrio was with the dealer for a month after two months of ownership to fix a number of issues; aircap defective and needed to be replaced, broken clips in A pillar from factory, driver side top of the dash had cut in it, passenger side door panel insert defective, drivers side window controls broken, passenger side side view mirror defective, clips in headliner not secured, driver's side window slipping, radio / nav randomly rebooting, large lug fell out from under the car (per the dealership it must be a spare since they couldn't find any missing).

I have spent well over 5 hours just tracking down creaks and squeaks and have taken care most of those with Tesa Tape. Unfortunately rattles from exposed wiring or broken clips in at least 5 areas still which would require the dealership to remove most of the interior and rebuild it. Of course the dealership does not want to redo the interior and per them 'this is an AMG which will always have creaks, squeaks and rattles due to the suspension' to which I replied to them that I have owned many sports cars over the years and none have been this bad.

I might be lucky because my 2016 doesn’t really have creaks except when the weather is very cold. I try to not let little sounds bother me too much as most cars will have some type minor sounds.

amg C63s
I sold my 2018 AMG C63s about a month ago, 24k. I loved the car. Very reliable and exceptional performance for the price. Why did I sell it? - too many cars, too little time, I'm 70 yrs. old and for the first time in my life I can afford to indulge on car purchases? What did I purchase - a used 2017 Porsche Carrera S with 4k miles. Comparing the Mercedes to the Porsche is comparing an 80k car to a 130k car. As stated above the AMG is a C class muscle car - a wonderful AMG product based on the C class. The Porsche is not a modified design. It's designed by the Porsche engineers, from the beginning, to be a performance sports car. That's the 130k difference.

Perception and/or justification are powerful drugs. That said, I hear your point. I think the core issue is more about price-point relative to market forces, exclusivity or consumer demand.

Who … ??? See if you can find a new one on the dealer lot. That should answer your question. Not everyone think our car is cool !!!
