Cracked headlight, Replace with aftermarket lens cover or used headlight
My headlight lens cover was recently cracked beyond repair and I need suggestions on the best way to fix it. Ebay and Amazon have headlight covers that are mainly manufactured in China. These can be purchased for 60-120 bucks each but quality is questionable. Another option is to buy a used headlight which can range from $300-$700 and also require reprogramming. What are your thoughts?

I also cracked a headlight cover from a rock on my 2019 and Mercedes said I needed to replace the whole damn unit. Was north of $3K, went through insurance. The day before the install, it rained and fried the computer behind the headlight too. All in maybe $4K.
It's a difficult replacement too. Whole bumper has to be removed for the headlight to come out. Mercedes' very own shop didn't even get the bumper back on right the first time and I had to have them fix it properly. If I were you I'd just get it done through insurance. It didn't count as an accident or anything on my Carfax.
