Looking to buy 2nd hand C63 wagon - advice please
Hi all, Ive enjoyed reading the forum and decided to register and write my first post. Ive located a used 2015 C63 wagon, and will be checking it out sometime next week. I would really appreciate any pointers on things to look out for? It’s only done 27k’s.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it has the performance exhaust system (due to lack of button?), but everything else looks pretty good on this and importantly the price looks good. Ideally I would like a black C63s wagon with black pack but this is close enough.
What is the on/off button on the centre console for? That’s seems odd. Ive only ever seen the exhaust button there but not this button.
I will be looking to slap a tow bar on it at some point as well. Drifting with a bike rack - why not?

My car came without the pe and the sound was very disappointing but I have an akra system on now and it is night and day difference.

That button is to turn on/off the multimedia system. Cars with the pe have that button replaced with the exhaust button flap and the on/off is merged with the volume dial.

With the Akra system, did you swap out the entire exhaust system plus the sound kit? Thats my plan!

Apparently the latest MB software will throw an error code (won't show in dash and need a scanner to see it) if the h-pipe valve been altered/tampered with which causes the valve to stop working even with the sound kit correctly installed. You need to connect the 2 into 1 sound kit wire to the existing connecter at the h-pipe and into the valve actuator.
We spent a good few hours trying to figure it out and ended up finding out that a few other cars that had similar systems installed were also not working after software updates but were before the updates.
My work around was to buy a Remus valve controller to control the 2 rear valves since Remus uses the same valve actuators as MB and let the car control the h-pipe valve.
So check if you have the latest software before you purchase.
