It is always a good idea to blow out the spark plug cavity before removing the plug. You do not want dirt or grit to drop down into the cylinder.

^^^^ This is often overlooked so many times. I have seen pieces of dirt caused from improper practice cause catastrophic engine failure. It’s a shame honestly.
