Backorder till January.... Strut 19' c63s
I have a 2019 c63s and I had since thumping sound coming from front drivers side front so I took it in to the Mercedes dealership.
I bought it as a CPO and I have extended warranty. The car has 57k miles on it. Once they diagnosed the problem being a strut they said it would cost $1700 so I told them it should be covered under warranty and they said it's not!
After some back and forth a few days ago they said it was a mistake on the warranty manager and now they are covering it! Well I was happy about that but today I get a message stating that "..... We won't be able to replace the driver's side strut until parts arrive..... Which will be late January or February..... Please pick up your cat and drop off the rental".
Is there anything I can do on my end to get this part quicker?
Can I drive the car with the strut bad like it is?
Anyone going thru the same thing?
