Best Cam for Parking
What is the best camera for 24x7 recording, when leaving the vehicle parked for several days and has motion sensors. Looking for the cam to have sensors to detect motion when someone gets near the car.
My daily driver vehicle has been vandalized for the 2nd time. Thankfully its not my Mercedes.
The camera system I have didn't pick it up (Rexing V1P Max4K Dual Channel). It only records of course when driving and when parked, only if someone hits the car.

You want something with a super capacitor instead of a lithium battery so the battery doesn't expand and fail due to the vehicle heating up when parked. You want to hardwire your dashcam so it is recording all the time, most dashcams is able to sense the voltage of your vehicle's battery and automatically shut off to make sure you can start your vehicle next time but you can always buy a dashcam battery instead, that battery charges every time you drive the vehicle. Depends on if you want a dashcam with a screen, with app connectivity, etc.
Edit: I forgot to answer your last question (Sorry, I do not have experience with the camera you talked about).
Edit2: You could keep using that camera, just hardwire it to your vehicle or get a battery pack. I am not sure how good is the parking mode/function on it though.

If you want very long parking monitoring/recording times, you'll need to install an auxiliary battery setup or you'll have shortened camera-active times and/or be constantly putting significant drain on your car's battery, thus significantly shortening it's life (and possibly causing cold-starting issues, if that applies). To install an auxiliary battery, you can add a voltage-sensitive relay and an additional AGM battery for a reasonable cost (if you DIY). Another option is the Lithium battery setups specifically designed for that purpose, but they will typically be significantly more expensive (but are also the best option if your car has a Lithium battery as its main battery, such as GT models).
The more recent Blackvue cameras have built-in supply/battery-voltage sensing. I've installed multiple such setups in 3 AMGs, over the past 5 years. The challenge with the C63 (mine was a sedan) was finding room for the additional AGM battery. In my case, I moved the modules attached to the main-battery's case and installed the aux battery beside it.
The lithium aux battery setups for dashcams are smaller so are easier to place and install. They also have the advantage that most are extendable, by adding additional battery packs, so you can theoretically get to the point where you'd have multi-day monitoring/recording capability. The issue, there, would be how long it'd take to recharge a mostly discharged setup.
Depending upon which way you're leaning, I could post additional information that might be useful.
