How much should i be paying to install downpipes?

I recently bought some downpipes from modal works as recommended by this community, but i've called many places and the price range to install has been between $800 and $3200. So I'm not really sure how much I should be paying to get these installed. Do you guys have any advice?

It depends on how the old ones come out. To do it without cutting requires the transmission to be dropped to get them out. If you cut them they can get away with not dropping it I've heard. I was quoted around 2k by a couple shops dropping the trans.

To be honest, I'm going to tackle this later myself this week. I already have the secondary cat cut off so there's really nothing for me to cut. Just unscrew everything and pull out from the top. For $800 I can go buy any tool needed (Zawzal, power drill, deep socket set) and still have $500 leftover. Plenty of guys on youtube show the process.

but I've also been quoted from $600-2100 so far.

I'm going to get my car stage 2 and downpipes fitted (I supplied). It's costing me around £300 to get them fitted which is not bad. They said if they had to remove the transmission it'll be £100 extra but they stated they've done one before without dropping the trans.

On another note I hope it doesn't make the car too raspy I have a performance exhaust and I love the tone it has a deep growl and the burbles are just perfect.

That's an amazing price. I had my catless downpipes installed in LA for around $300, but they chopped the old ones off. I currently have no drone, but when I somewhat give the car some nuts, it sounds like I'm in a WW2 fighter plane.
