C63S Brabus 600, gated Ferrari 575M; gated Ferrari 430 Spider; a couple of others
New C63S Brabus 600 has arrived
I have just taken delivery of my brand new C63S Brabus 600, after a long delay due to the current production holdups. Very exciting..
It's a dream car and it's absolutely stunning. It replaces two cars, in a sense. I had a C63 AMG 6.2 wagon for family duties, and then as the kids are growing up and leaving home, bought a 992 C2 S as a new everyday car.
The Porsche was fantastically efficient, but not a joy to drive in day to day: a bit clinical.
So the answer was a C63S, but with extra power and some interior upgrades, bought new, while retaining the full factory warranty. The only way to do this is to go the Brabus route.
Specifying it was fun (with help from threads here). The base car is a Night Edition Premium Plus, so fully loaded with pretty much everything, except ventilated seats (not available in the UK). It has HUD, airscarf, 19/20 inch centre locks, carbon centre console, performance exhaust, etc. Extras are the AMG Carbon Pack 1 and 2 on the exterior.
I chose black on black/cream two tone and a Burgundy roof, which meant waiting even longer for the right car to be built.
There are two Brabus power packages, 600 and 650. I chose 600 as it meant not replacing engine components and it's cheaper.
I declined the Brabus exhaust - I did a side by side comparison and the AMG exhaust is pretty good - and lowered Brabus suspension, as again, I like it as it comes.
I like the interior of the standard C63S but wanted to add a few "Porsche GTS" touches. Brabus are brilliant car restorers, and I specified Alcantara on the lower passenger dash, centre console, rear vent area, A pillars, sun visors and roof lining, grey with cream stitching. Plus Brabus pedals, mats, door pins, and it gets the Brabus B and illuminated front grille badge.
The other move I made was swapping out (part exchange) the MPSSs on the car when delivered for MPS4Ss.
The car is a wonder, and I wanted to thank everyone here for their posts in the last years, which helped me inform my decision. I appreciate there are many more steps one can take for power, but once run in, I think 600 hp will be plenty for me.
I haven't driven it long distances yet, but so far my observations are that the handling is super sharp and meaty, the engine feels supreme, the interior is special, and yet it's a compact and easy to drive daily car, a C class. This is important as it will be doing school run and shopping duty year round, as my (fantastic) C63 6.2 wagon did for many years.
It's also absolutely beautiful.
It feels a lot more special (and fun) than my 992 C2S for daily driving; not as good on a country lane blast, but I have other cars for that.
I will post pictures when it's back from its G Techniq ceramic coat next week.

I’ll post pictures of the car when it’s back from the ceramic place later this week. Here are a couple of tasters, pre coating. This is my first post so I understand the healthy scepticism, but equally I don’t answer to anyone here.
Congratulations on your car and I hope all goes well…you know, don’t burn out too many tires etc etc😂👍

Thank you. I am in London. Quite a few Brabus G63s here but mine is the only C63 I have seen. There are 2 Brabus Mercedes dealers in the UK, Sandown and Bob Forstner

Thank you! Yes I have an unhealthy relationship with Michelin. Although, the natural traction of the 205 series is so much better than my outgoing 204 C63 wagon, I suspect tyre consumption may actually be no worse despite the extra power.
Look like it just cosmetic mods and not a full build. The tuned you can get with other tuners lot cheaper. It not worthy to me. I preferred the oem AMG look.

That’s a constructive comment. Do you go up to strangers and tell them you’re better looking than them?

You post it here and so it up for discussion the good and the bad. Dude, It just an opinions. Some people think my dream car Aston Martin is the ugliest thing on the road. I’m ok with that. 😁
Nice! Personally I would of gone alcantara on the top part of the dashboard aswell, just the bottom part looks nice but at the same time kind of looks odd or unfinished.
I want those paddle shifters now
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing your experience and pictures. I haven’t seen anyone actually post a real Brabus so nice to see this.
Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
I had a 2016 C63S Coupe with the Brabus B40-600 kit, it was a total monster! Good luck getting the power down before Easter
Mine came from Mercedes Brooklands who fitted the power kit and a few other Brabus bits.
Since then I've had a G63 and E63S both done by Brabus in Germany and still own them both. Not cheap but amazing quality and engineering which I guess is why MB and Brabus support the full warranty.
Alcantara is the brand name of a common synthetic textile material. It has a soft, suede-like microfiber pile and is noted for its durability.
I don't get why so many people like Alcantara. Thermoplastic polymers......sounds like old plastic bottles to me haha.
My car's interior is covered in it too!!

I did think about that..in the end I decided not to replace any leather with alcantara, though I agree it would have looked nice. The MB leather dash is nice enough and I didn't want to unpick it.
I had the plastic parts retrimmed, in particular lower dash, centre console/transmission tunnel, sun visors, roof surround, A pillars, the parts you see and feel, as well as the rear vent surrounds.
i wavered over the door bins, these are plastic and not that nice. But, they are high wear areas (from shoes) and alcantara does not wear well. Also the EQS has plastic on the door bins/lower doors and the engineers told me it's for that precise reason. And if it's good enough for the EQS..
Interesting to note that in the UK the GLC has leather on the centre console/transmission tunnel.

Thank you! Your cars sound incredible, and I guess very bespoke. Brabus engineering quality is fantastic. The interior manufacture and craftsmanship is as good as Rolls or Bentley Mulliner. As you say, not cheap, but the highest quality all round. The engines are TUV approved and sold by Mercedes dealerships with full warranty support. For a new car, that's essential for me.
