adding C63 AMG CARBON FIBER BLACK SERIES / 507 AMG ENGINE HOOD VENTS to my 2016 C63s
Hey all,
I have been thinking of modifying my 2016 "Edition 1" C63s hood. First I was looking to replace the whole hood with a CF version (one that comes with a window) but decided no as too ricey. I have now thought of modifying my current hood and inserting the subtle C63 AMG Carbon Fiber Black Series / 507 AMG Engine hood vents. I can get them from Tuning Empire: https://www.tuning-empire.com.au/mer...ood-vents.html
My question are:
has anyone attempted this and done this successfully? (I dont mean replacing the plastic ones on a current 507 hood, I mean cutting new holes in a W205 / S205 (2015+) and adding them in)
If so, did you add anything underneath / underside of the hood similar to what comes on the 507? (see special limer attached). If so, where did you get this liner/part?
Any help / thoughts / suggestioned would be appreciated as I really want to complete this but I want to do it right. It's not a cheap job as the CF vents cost $600aud. Bonnet removal, cutting holes and respray etc will be about $1500-$2000k aud. Im 100% preparred to pay this but want to ensure it can be done. Thanks all.... Pic of my C63s Wagon attached and parts im referring to... These are the upgraded CF 507 vents What I am looking to acheive on my S205 wagon... the underside of the 507 hood with the liner and special vent attachments.. do I need these and where can I get them? my current S205 Wagon all black out pumping 1000nm and some decent carbon added already....
