New to the forum here, but have been silently reading for some time. I'm interested in picking up quite a number of CF parts for a 2017 c63s sedan but having some problems finding which company to go with. Have been looking into RWcarbon but have seen some fitment issues, and read through threads on Mode carbon from last year that have a lot of negative press regarding inaccurate lead time and poor customer service.
Speaking on the diffusers, I noticed none of the CF diffusers offer hands free trunk functionality after installation - are there any that offer this?
What recommendation do you guys have? Any personal experience buying from RW or Mode or other companies that I should consider?
I bought my diffuser, front lip, side skirts, mirror caps and spoiler from RW Carbon approximately two years ago and could not be happier. Fitment is perfect (though I had everything professionally installed).
I have a CF steering wheel for sale, made by Revocarbon. Never used. It converts your 2017 PFL steering wheel to the 2019+ style and adds OEM matching Carbon Fiber to it. Comes with matching airbag and leather airbag cover. PM me if interested.
I as well went with RW for diffuser and front lip but my handsfree trunk opening option no longer works. It can not detect movement trough the carbon fiber the same was true on my GTS after the RW diffuser on that vehicle as well. Here is mine.

*****That diffuser looks awesome! Really makes the car stand out and look like a total beast!
@OP - I can offer my thoughts as I just bought a bunch of CF parts - I've purchased CF parts from various manufacturers and OEMS in the past so can give a view.
Front Lip + Side Skirts are PSM Dynamic. Right off the bat - 10/10 for fitment - absolutely perfect. I would say between 8-9/10 for manufacturing quality of the CF - pretty much as good as OEM really. Reasons for not a full 10/10 are - for example - on the side skirts which are long thin piece, you can see clearly where one strip of CF ended and another was laid next to it, but I'm just nitpicking to be honest (and it doesn't bother me). Really, really nice pieces - it's why PSM are pricey though. Unfortunately my front lip was damaged in shipping so they are kindly sending a replacement, but FYI their parts are built to order and theres a minimum 4-5 week lead time, so keep that in mind.
Mirror covers + rear wing are from Autotecknic. 7/10 for fitment on Mirrors - 10/10 on quality. Finish and weave is perfect. They overlay CF onto OEM mirror covers, however this does warp them slightly making fitment a...challenge. But once they're on they're solid.
8/10 fitment on rear wing and 7/10 for finish. The wing seats pretty well on the trunk but when compared side by side with PSM fitment, you can tell it's not quite as good. It's absolutely good enough though! As with the mirrors, the CF and weave on the wing is really really well done, I just dropped some points because the clearcoat isn't the best, you can see dimples in the finish and compared to a really expensive pieces, it's noticeable.
Overall I would still highly reccommend both PSM and Autotecknic. I purchased all my parts from Autotalent which has been a mostly positive experience (will save it for a separate post). I also purchased a CF PFL steering wheel made by Autotecknic - however the piece they sent was not compatible with cars optioned with Lane Keep Assist so they are helping me with a replacement.
As with Autotecknics other products, the CF weave again was beautifully laid and I would give the wheel a 10/10 on quality. Fitment ... 6/10 as I had some issues fitting the OEM steering wheel trim and the paddle shifter cutouts were the wrong shape. I have raised my concerns with them directly so hopefully they'll be addressed in the replacement.
Just one more thing to add - for the price saving on Autotecknic products - they are well worth the money IMO. Hope that helps!
edit - please let me know if pics don't show and I will re post.
