Engine swap 2009 C63. P30

Require an engine swap because a junior mechanic dumped 6 litres of transmission fluid into the engine. Saw the red dipstick and as NA engines are yellow, oil and Red transmission. They stated the engine. Weird whining noise from both cam banks. They drained and new oil, but noise is still there and exhaust smoking like an old locomotive. Owner of business has sourced a low mileage same year engine to replace mine. This is an Independent shop and I have never had an issue before. But they have not done this type of engine swap. If anyone can send links, video, requirements, such as do the require the engine management cpu for the new engine, control linkup with transmission etc etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You sure you want the same shop that put the wrong oil into it swap your engine (and a shop that has never done it and you try to educate them by googling?). I see a lot of red flags.

*****OMG, yea this. It's not that easy of a swap to begin with. Just getting everything to sync back up computer wise will take some amount of work. The mechanical part is just typical grunt work but getting everything electronic to hook up and actually work and not throw an *** ton of CEL's will be a challenge. Much more so for an independent mechanic who may not be Benz guys or have that kind of experience.

Good luck whatever you decide. What a **** thing to have happen though. God that would suck. I've had a dealership destroy an engine of mine before on another platform, but they literally bought my car back, and sold me a brand new model with very little money out of my pocket other than new options I asked for. It was a new car dealership so everything worked out. Man, was I pissed seeing my motor in pieces on the ground with a tech using a *snow* shovel to collect the parts in a pile!
