Switch inside trunk
What is the purpose of the small metal switch in the right rear corner of the trunk? 2018 c 63

Pic? I don't have a metal switch in my trunk, at least not in the coupe. I have three buttons, one is in the middle of the trunk lid inside, that's the emergency trunk open button, and then I have the close and close/lock buttons on the bottom of the lid.

I figured out there are 2 one left one right to release the rear seats to fold them down. Thanks

That was gonna be my next guess. Sounds like you have the sedan. In the coupe there are two latches at the top of the trunk for that.

I actually have a convertible, but I believe you are right and the sedan has the same configuration.
