Hey guys so I took my c63s in to do service B before I put it away in storage for the winter, and the tech upon inspection found this:
it’s the right side engine mount on my 17 c63s coupe. They quoted me $3695.00 plus tax for the engine mounts. Parts and labour. Does this seem right? Also does anyone have the part numbers? From what I found online they are rather expensive because they are magnetic and electric. Hoping someone can give me atleast part numbers and tell me if that price sounds right?
thanks

do you know if there are different ones? Someone told me that some are electric and non electric or magnetic or something like that. So you’re sure this is the correct one for my model?

Yes, the S has active engine mounts, whereas the non-S has fixed engine mounts. If you google the part number you'll find an eBay listing with pictures. Looks like the active mount. Has the electric connector on the side.

That's too much. Mercedes in Australia only cost $2500 brand new from the dealer.
These shi*ty engine mounts are known to crack especially in the early prefacelift versions.
There's been several revisions for the LHS have been done as they always break.
The current part numbers are:
A2052409300 left A2052408700 right
Here are both of my cracked engine mounts on my C63 S Coupe which I drove with for more than a year.
The only symptoms I noticed from having broken dynamic mounts was the occasional THUD sound on takeoff and also when putting the Suspension mode in SPORT+ upon returning to COMFORT suspension it still felt stiff. This would happen each time I used the harder suspension modes.

hey man so I contacted merceteil to order the mounts and they told me that there is a new Right mount part: A 205 240 94 00, instead of the 205 240 8700. And they said the other left part is still the same but it’s not in production. Does this seem right to you? My stupid dealer won’t tell me the part numbers..
I like the letter S after the model name on any vehicle. Except when that vehicle model contains a bunch of junk parts that constantly break.
Thousand dollars in labor tends to be the starting point whenever going to the Mercedes dealership for repair. Honestly if you can see the part, point to it and say that thing. Why not do the next step, unscrew/unbolt it and stick a new one in yourself. It aint rocket science.
The hydraulic motor mounts look to be $450-$500 list price, so round $300 direct and $250 from partsgeek, but i wouldn’t buy a thing from partsgeek.
I am looking to swap out the engine mounts on my 2016 C63 W205. I was looking for solid motor mounts but doesn’t seem to be available, only for the M156. Loss of torque and durability for reduced vibration, but dont see that it matters significantly. Just more PITA maintenance but overall value of the car is great.
These cars are for hobby mechanics and DYIers at this stage. Spending thousands of dollars on maintenance for a vehicle that old and not worth much on resale is pretty stupid. Next your $4000 brake job is due again on a car they will give you $15K on a trade. Lol

Forum sponsor creative steel has some mounts but you say they are not available for this generation C 63, correct?
BTW some information about this high end engine mounts … keywords are BWI & magneto-rheological engine mount .
Limo or T model? no idea what you mean by this
Those part numbers i got from my local MB dealership here in Melbourne Australia for My car which is 2017 C63s coupe. I would of thought they are the same for all the "s" around the world. what part numbers did they tell you?
do you have an error message in the scanner?
FL Coupe C63s has other numbers !
And they are a little bit less expensive.
I didnt check car by Xentry (scanner) and in the moment i have no indications of worn mounts - maybe more a problem of PFL ?
Have you changed your engine mounts now ?

No i havnt, im not entirely convinced my engine mount has failed. Because i dont have any side effects like the engine moving up and down or any wierd noises. So im thinking that its possibly something else. Hoping to see if some1 who has had the code that has changed the mount resolved the error code.
If the part was only a few hundred $ i would just bite the bullet, but at $2500 a mount.. its a pretty expensive gamble to guess.
Is there any reason you think yours has failed?
Is my english so bad ? I dont understand what you are not understand
From which country you are ?
2500 $ (US Dollar?) one mount … holy s**t.
No your english is fine. I understand FL is for facelift, but not sure what you mean by "limo" and "T" models.
Can you share the part numbers you found that are different for face lift models?
Im in Australia so AUD which is about $1426 euro each mount no labor.
I imagine you being in Germany the MB parts are 1/2 the price we pay here.

limo refers to limousine or sedan depending on your region. T model refers to the wagon. It’s a common designation. Short for Touring. Always helpful to specify the trim as there can be differences between the coupe, cab, sedan and wagon.
