How to Turn Off RED "BRAKE" LIGHT? Need Inspection.
Hello, Have a 2017 C63 AMD Sedan EuroCharged . I need an inspection. I learned to Pass Emissions I need to bring car 's tuning back to Stock Program (or it will fail). I JUST got a Break Wear Indicator warning and now there is RED BRAKE Message that appears every 5 seconds.
I just need to get some pads (but they only have 8,000 miles on them anyway, but they were done 06-2019? Not sure if MB has warranty as I had it done at a dealer). Anyway I found a Video how to Get to the RESET Brake Pad Menu. If I turn this off, will it stay off long enough to get my inspection?
My car is not unsafe and I will get pads in the next 30 days but I need to get my sticker updated. Any advice?

It could just be a bad brake wear sensor if you just recently had your brakes replaced and don't drive the car hard. Put the brakes into the service mode to deactivate the rear electric parking brake, take the wheel off, remove the caliper and check the wear sensor. In case you don't know, the wear sensors are only on the passenger side for the front and the rear.
