Advice on C63 Purchase

I am considering the purchase of an 2015 AMG c63 with under 20K miles. Are there any serious recurring issues with these cars that I should know about before purchase? I have had a 560 SEC but no experience with C63's. Hopefully there is nothing that is outstanding but appreciate any help you might offer

The platform is generally solid, at least the later model years. Be aware that 2015 was the first model year, though, and generally you wanna stay away from the first model year of anything. That's when all the real world issues come out that get addressed in subsequent years and may or may not get corrected on existing models. Some updates are only performed in response to specific customer complaints. With this car having so few miles after all these years, my concern would also be that it doesn't have the mileage for some of the potential issues to have shaken out yet. Whoever owned this car first basically never took full advantage of the factory warranty by driving it enough to shake out all potential issue during the warranty period. I'm personally very hesitant about old low mileage cars unless you are prepared to pay for repairs that could have been done under warranty if the car had been driven more. Especially the early models have known issues with the electronic locking differential, but it looks like you are looking at a non-S, which for those years had a mechanical LSD, so one less thing to worry about.

Hey @awarrenj welcome to the forum, reach out if you'd like to see any extended warranty pricing and example contracts for the C63, my information is tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-144 or if you want to talk about 560 SEC's I had one a couple years ago, I miss that car and would love to find a new one.

Thanks for the reply. With respect to this being the first year of the model, I have seen several listed going back to 2012; can you explain your comment on this being the first model year? Agree totally with your comment of low mileage older cars; this one has been driven (although a low amount) over the years according to maintenance records. Will check if any warranty work done on this car.
Thanks so much for the info.

First model year of the W205 generation. Older than 2015 would be the W204 generation. They are different cars. First and foremost the W205 has a 4 liter V8 biturbo and the W204 has a 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8.
