Can anybody please identify this engine issue?

I once had to sell a 63 W204 since it was impossible to find the problem here in my region. All was checking out fine at the dealers…

I am affraid I now might have a similar issue on my 63 W205.

The car started behaving different after a few weeks of hard driving.

I got a low coolant sign. Only (22k km)
Exhaust sound is less crisp and compressed.
Engine has a ticking sound (I know it can be normal but was not there before)
Turbo has a rattling sound
Rough idle
Less responsive
Engine whine sound has increased

Also on cold engine in the morning, car won’t immediately engage gear, Revs up and eventually drives.

brought it to the dealer, changed oil, they had an “intensive” look. all was fine according to their systems )
just readapted gearbox and update.

Can anybody HELP with this?

From what I read here, looks like it could be a leak? Im no expert.

You have a bunch of unrelated issues. How long have you owned the car, and what is its service history? How many kms on it? 22k since your ownership or 22k total?

Long list of usual diagnostics checks for you to do:

check engine light?
codes stored?
steam from tailpipe?
coolant smell from tailpipe?
brown creamy residue under oil fill cap?
bubbles emancipating from coolant reservoir?
oil or coolant leaks anywhere?
premium fuel?
spark plugs changed on time?
Compression good?
borescope shows signs of cylinder scoring?
battery changed if older than 4 years?

Hello thanks for your time and answer

check engine light? NO

steam from tailpipe? I’ve noticed on cold start a little.
coolant smell from tailpipe? fuel smell on cold start which wasn’t there before
battery changed if older than 4 years? NO

bubbles emancipating from coolant reservoir? when to check this? After use or on idle?

Need to check for leaks and compression I guess?

car has 22000km. Just did oil and filter change
service B due in 5000km.
always premium fuel.

Check for coolant bubbles in the reservoir at idle after the engine has reached operating temperature.

Check compression and do a borescope inspection for signs of cylinder scoring.

Agreed it sounds like it could be several issues - some of which may or may symptoms or as a result of the problem you've got.

Is/was your coolant actually low? Do you have a mayonaise type substance under your oil cap?

I'd start by getting either a competant dealership or a good independant specialist to do some proper tests rather than a 'look', starting with doing a compression test to check your headgasket hasn't blown, possibly with a leakdown test afterwards.

So far it doesn't seem common. Rear main seal failures seem to be cropping up, due to oil vapor separator failure.
