Toyo R888R Vs Michelin Cup 2
Anyone on here been through the same? Or is running michelin cup 2 on the rear of their C63S?
Just after some feedback regarding the cup 2’s
I've been on Cup 2
On my C63
on all 4
So I can't compare for you
With the Toyo
(I believe Brian McKnight sang something similar)
But i can say I don't hear any road noise. I only hear the exhaust while driving. At low speeds I break the traction on the tires. So I guess that's similar to everyone else. The braking and cornering is very reliable and neck-breaking and hasn't failed me yet even on the track.
Sorry the comparison is subjective, as my view is only one sided.
I did have the Nitto Invos 9owned by Toyo) on m e63s wagon and absolutely loved the tread design - great grip, but did push a bit when thrown into a corner hard - i recently went with cup2 on the wagon too and they are hands down amazing!!!!

Mine is making 7XX WHP, the toyos hold the power just the road noise annoys me sometimes when going for a drive
I was looking at the NT555R2’s but cant get them where i am located, so been looking at the Cup 2’s

I'm only talking from experience with Cup 2 MO1 (OEM) for coupe in 285 rear size and I had these when my car only had ECU & TCU tune by Allen with 360rwkw i could never ever hook in them. They were the worst for grip man I swear you'll hate them
I myself am in the same power range and was very recently looking for the NT555R2's and they're out of stock everywhere. Even had a dealer call Nitto directly and they aren't sure when these tires will be available (at least for 305/30/20).
I was debating between Cup2 and PS4S (Porsche N0 spec) and ultimately went PS4S (305/30/20) on my 20x11 BC Forged's wheels (lowered). To Jimmy's point, you really have to heat Cup2's up to get them to be useful.
I have 50 miles on the PS4S and at similar power levels, I can get them to hook in 3rd @ WOT after they are warm(er). 1st and 2nd gear, forget about it.

I already have R888R’s on the back they work great after abit of heat has gotten into them
Would you say the PS4S work better then the Cup2’s?

I was in the same dilemma and ended up with the PS4S (even though Cup2's were the same price).
