Driving with engine additive
Last couple days I had a ticking noise coming from the front driver side portion of the engine bay, freaked myself out by watching a bunch of Youtube vids and decided it must be a lifter tick so I thought i'd try the suggested solution, Liquid Moly hydraulic lifter additive... problem continued and I decided to take it to the dealership for evaluation.
Turns out my purge valve has become a little noisy but nothing wrong with it, and everything else came out perfectly fine. Now I'm glad that I'm not about to blow my engine, but I'm wondering whether I need a stat oil change to remove the additive or can it wait a week or two so I can do it when I have a free day as I need some other work done as well? TIA!
