Question for you guys and gals. I have a 2021 amg c63s with night package. my front lower cover-mustache trim is all chipped up from rocks, debris and someone's hubcap that fell off and hit the piano black lower trim cover of my car and so im in the process of buying all new parts from mb. I've purchased the 5 piano black trim pieces from the dealer, that attach to and above the long mustache piece and they all come glossy piano black however I'm told by the parts department that the long mustache piece as far as the notes state in their system comes unpainted and costs about $750 they do not have it in stock as it has to be special ordered and I cannot check and see if its glossy piano black because its not in stock, and if I order it and its not piano black I'm subject to a 20% restocking fee. So my question is has anyone ordered and replaced this trim piece before and if so does it come glossy piano black or will it in fact need to be painted piano black? I uploaded a photo of the trim piece I'm talking about it is number 5 in the diagram.

dont have the answer to your question but i do have that piece also from night package from my coupe in case you were interested as I swapped to carbon fiber

Thanks for the reply. I am interested, however mine is a FL sedan-not sure if it’s interchangeable. Also is it like new? Free of any road debris? It took about a month before I started seeing signs of damage on mine. my car is already at the dealer now with the front end torn down-for another issue-so it’s kind of time sensitive.

the coupe is wider than the sedan so my guess would be that the part isn’t interchangeable. Gluck!
I ordered the trim from mb. We will see how it comes hopefully painted all the other trim pieces that attach to it come painted piano black so we will see.
