C63 Exhaust flaps
Afternoon all on this sunny day. Advice on this issue with my sports exhaust flaps, they are starting to sound rattly again when the button is pressed. MB have had it in and greased them up with some type of specialist lube which worked for a few months, was wondering if there is anything i could do as its come back but they don’t have any more grease.

I think the simple one is to open it up and stretch the spring, apply lube and fingers crossed it works for a while.
or for the advanced spot weld the rotor and remove the spring. Fit a simulator or code out the fault.
Failing all that purchase the Holley type, would this just plug in and work though?

some good and bad tips on this.
I think the simple one is to open it up and stretch the spring, apply lube and fingers crossed it works for a while.

Holley type is the last resort but it'll never rattle or let you down.
If you want to keep that good AMG sound, don't disable the middle flaps. I've tested the sh*t out of these things and even got a hold of all the patents for the Kuster modules etc and our cars actually OPEN the middle flap above 1000rpm slightly to mitigate drone.
I once welded my center flap closed as you'll see in our main thread. Tested it for a bit and got weird resonance from it. I hated the sound so I replaced that section with a used flap, now I'm doing Holley flap replacement.
Despite what people say that center flap is very functional and needed in our cars.

Holley type is the last resort but it'll never rattle or let you down.
