2023 C63S Coupe has PFL Exhaust Sound?

Are they that frequent? I couldn’t hear too clearly in the video either but it pops and bangs almost on demand. My 2021 definitely did not sound like this up until 5k miles so maybe it needed to be broken in a few more thousand miles. Maybe they tuned the 2023’s to sound like a fully broken in FL right out of the box. I suppose @benzbell will give definite feedback soon.

Yes… @superswiss mentioned this a few times. I drove my ‘21 pretty aggressively after the 1k break in period and I seldom heard any exhaust theatrics until I sold it @5k mikes. Maybe it needed to get past 8-10k miles before the sound became more pronounced and pops & bangs more regular. This one pops and bangs like crazy even at slow speeds. I’ll try to take some better videos when I get it back from PPF next weekend. And if someone local has another FL, I’d love to compare them side by side.

Yeah mine opened up significantly at around 10k miles. Got noticeably faster, too. They may have changed the break-in profile. Also wanted to add I drove EU spec '22 coupes at two separate ADA events in Germany and Austria in the last 12 months. With the GPF they are a tad quieter and with drifting there's not a lot of overrun, so pops and bangs were not much.

Thats good to know. I’m curious for someone who owns the FE to post a video as it’s supposedly been confirmed to have the PFL sound. Does yours sound louder than the 2019 press car or the same? Other non-FE members have also commented on their cars sounding louder than other FL’s, but no other 2023 owner has posted a sound video yet. It’s possible our 2023’s are louder than normal FL’s but not quite as loud as PFL’s. This is all giving me a headache, I need to go out for a run!
