Rough acceleration and idle, and now, check engine light
Anybody else experience this or knows what this could possibly be?
I first noticed that my car would intermittently have a very rough acceleration. Whenever I have my foot on the peddle, the car would vibrate like I was on really crappy pavement, but as soon as I let off the gas, would smooth out.
Then, whenever this would happen, it would also be accompanied by a rough idle. It would make the entire car vibrate and make more of a chugging sound rather than it’s normal idle sound.
Now, I have a check engine light on.
Any idea what this could possibly be?

U have any mods?
I have a c43 and get similar situation due to fuel pump error. I know 63s have better fueling system but if this helps at all then cool

Sounds like a misfire. How many miles do you have on your spark plugs? I had the same problem intermittently and had a defective spark plug where the ceramic insulator was dropping down and covering the center electrode. I replaced all the plugs and the problem was resolved.

Definitely pull the codes before you start throwing parts at it aimlessly. If it is a misfire the code will tell you on which cylinder(s) but it will not tell you whether it is due to bad spark or a fueling issue. At least it'll point you in the right direction.
