You may also wanna consider attending a day at the AMG Driving Academy to experience various AMG models in their natural habitat so to speak. It's a great experience and they have a good fleet, so you can sample the different cars and experience them.

But as said, you gonna have to figure out for yourself which AMG hits your spot. I've driven almost all modern AMGs from the A45 to the GT Black Series and the C63S coupe is the one for me, because of how it does everything well. It's a great canyon carver and excellent everyday car. It's not the ultimate track car, for that I would take the GT R and above, but I don't go to the track with my personal cars. The A/CLA 45 are neat little rockets, but personally not my cup of tea. They understeer because of the FWD-biased AWD and the turbo lag is the size of Texas, but they were fun to slide around on the skid plate at my most recent AMG event in Austria, but they are kinda terrible to drift even with the drift mode. Very artificial.
