how high can the front lift without oil starvation

So im planning on buying 12 inch race ramps cribs. That way i can fit under the car easily for maintenance. For an oil change, I read on here that if the car is inclined and front end high, no need to undo front oil drain plug. I also read you need to car at operating temp, and drain oil within 3 min of shutoff. My plan is drive front and rear on my race ramps, these are 3 inches high. I'll then jack up the front and put the front wheels on the 12 inch cribs vs the ramp. the rear will still be on the 3 inch tall ramp. the front end will be 12 inches of lift, and rear at 3 inches off the pavement. So the front end will be 9 inches higher then the rear. Would 9 inches of lift ( i don't know what angle that would be) run the risk of oil starving the engine? I figured there are driveways steeper then this, but better to confirm then find out the hard way.

front wheels will be on these cribs https://www.raceramps.com/cribs/wheel/p/rr-wc-12/
rear wheels will sit on this ramp https://www.raceramps.com/ramps/trax-jax/p/rr-tj/

I am sure you will be fine with the incline as you stated about driveways being steeper than that.

Personally I would level the vehicle while performing the engine oil and filter change, although it does not mention it in WIS, all maintenance is performed on a lift with the vehicle level. I always jack up the rear and place it on jack stands to level the vehicle while I am performing maintenance.

Just in case you do not have it, I have attached the Engine Oil and Filter change procedures to this post.

Good luck!

thanks for the official procedure, always good to have in my records. Yah doing the math it didn’t seem a harsh incline. I’m planning on buying a second set of cribs to have the car level and 12 inches higher. But ones I have in order are in the mail, and other ones would take a week to arrive.

Today it’s oil change day and brake flush. Got a HPDE event in Sebring this month. All other fluids are done. Well besides coolant as I read it’s like 10 year fluid vs every 3 years like other cars.
