Winter Tires help
My Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter tires are now 4 years old with about 6/32 to 7/32 depth on each tire. The current staggered tire set up is Front: 255/35/19 and Rear: 285/30/20.
This week I wanted to get a new set of Pirelli Sottozero 3 but Tire Rack and MB Dealership stated there are no more supply for this season.
1. Tire Rack rep gave me only one option: Vredestein Winter Pro Front 255/35/19 and Rear: 275/30/20. He stated this would actually be a better a rear fit for my car in winter conditions??? My car 2019 C63s coupe. Or will this be a problem with rear tire being a different size?
2. Should my 4 year old winter tire with say 6/32 driven in moderate NYC winter be replaced for safety concerns? * I may not have a choice this winter but to put my winter Pirelli back on this coming week.
3. Has anyone had experience with these Vreadestein Winter Pro tires?
Any advice or concerns about the different size rear tire?
Thanks to all.

After last winter's snow amount, I am still driving my UHP A/S tires. I drive by the shore and the road floods. This morning the road was frozen and UHP A/S tires slipped very good. I got Alpine 5 winter tires 2 years ago as only available A/S &winter tires as my car came with summers They are so far great for NYC driving.
- Tires should be replaced when their remaining tread depth is no longer appropriate for the weather conditions expected to be encountered. Tire Rack recommends replacing tires at approximately 5/32" of remaining tread depth for driving in snow, 4/32" for driving on wet roads and 2/32" for driving on dry roads.
- Tires that have been in use for five (5) years or more should be carefully inspected periodically for external signs of aging. While this inspection will confirm the condition of the exterior rubber, it cannot assess internal degradation or damage.
- Previously unused, never-mounted tires should not be put into service if they are more than six (6) years old, even if they were properly stored.
- All tires (including spare tires) manufactured more than ten (10) years previously should be removed from service and be replaced as a precaution, even if such tires appear serviceable and have not reached the legal wear limit.
