Winter tyres?
What with traction being 'challenging' in these Winter UK months, does anyone opt for Winter tyres? If so what is the tyre of choice? Currently running MPSS and given its often cold/damp breaking traction is comedy-easy.
The other day had the Pirelli Sottozero 3 swapped and tech stated that front tires were good and rear were about half way.
So looking to new Pirelli Sottozero 3 rear and was informed they were finished production for the year.
So Tire Rack had only one recommendation a brand Vredaestein Winter Pro. The front are same size as my current winter tires (255/35/19) but the rears are 275/30/20. What I have current rear winter tires are 285/30/20. So I'm concerned about different rear tire size but Tire Rack rep. said the 275/30/20 would be better in the snow conditions than my current winter 285/30/20.
This is my daily driver with temperature many times below 40 and unpredictable snow conditions. I would ONLY drive with quality snow tires during winter weather. I live in NYC area.
