I’ve had this reverse light message displaying on the speedo. Yesterday when replacing the tailshaft I noticed a wiring loom with a 3 pin plug at the back of the gear box not connected to anything. Any idea where this may connect too. The car does have aftermarket down pipes, not sure if it’s exhaust related?
Otherwise what module control the reverse light? The reverse lights illuminate but this fault comes up when engaging reverse.
Concerning the Over powered, on the off chance that the issue is as yet occurring with halogen switch lights, I'd detach the battery for 5 minutes and reconnect to check whether a reset makes a difference. If not, there could be a wiring issue or somebody might have recently meddled with the coding/lighting config. Difficult to say for specific I'm apprehensive. Perhaps check for load resistors?
Based on the model number(A 022 545 24 26). It shows as a parking sensor on one mercedes site and also can be used for the gearbox. Look at part #900 in picture
