Extended Warranty on 2019
Looking for some advice. Purchasing a 2019 C63S AMG sedan with 24,000 km. Dealer is offering extended warranty through third party but the work would be done by Mercedes dealership.
The extended warranty is $4000 for 40,000 km or 2 years. It will cover $5000 powertrain
What do you guys think?

I purchased the MB Extended Warranty for my 2019 C63s coupe in April 2023 when my original MB Warranty 4 years/50,000 miles was up. I elected for a 2 years/75,000 miles Extended Warranty at a cost of $6,450.00. It mirrors the original MB warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles. Except battery and fuses are not included.
My car had about 24,000 miles when I purchased the 2 year/75,000 mile Extrnded Warranty.
I have the option next April to extend the warranty for just 1 more year and that's it.
Being a valued customer $6,450.00 plus $1,900.00 for a 2 year Service plan, generous to SA and SA has it benefits like bring your car right over and loaner will be available if needed. But that has not always the case.
I felt there was sincere honesty for me to purchased the MB Extended Warranty based on the model of our car. So I did.

@jj18 Keep my information for when your 2 years expire, I think you were well overcharged for your 2 year / 75K warranty. Our same Fidelity Platinum coverage today would only be $4,062 and you would have received 4 years of coverage, $0 deductible, with repairs accepted at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the US/Canada.

These extended warranties are big profitable businesses for the companies who issue them. Most people never get their money's worth and it's all profit for the companies. If you gonna have $4000 worth of warranty repairs in the next two years on a low mileage car like that, then you have bigger problems. Better off putting that money in a savings account and use it to pay for eventual repairs. Most likely you'll still come out ahead. Contrary to some popular believes, these things don't blow up the moment the factory warranty expires. Mine is in the second year past the factory warranty at 35k miles going strong. I suppose the sedans can be a bit more problematic as the Atlanta plant isn't known for outstanding quality. Does this car not have CPO warranty?
