Selling my current Audi S5 and planning to upgrade to a W205 C63.
With it being the first of the W205 generation, are there any common and expensive problems I can expect? I expect this is usually the case for the first-gen models as they work out the snags with the later builds.
Looking to get one within the region of 35k miles with full main dealer history.

My 2017 S coupe had 42k miles and during the 3 years had one leaking engine mount at 22k miles, 1 leaking rear shock at 18k miles, and exhaust rattle (flaps) starting at 9k miles. All fixed during warranty so don't know the price to fix. Other than that it tan strong stock with no other issues. i recommend battery tender if it's not a daily and don't buy lithium battery it upsets the rear. Originally Posted by ChomeX

If you are looking at the non-S, then there are less potential issues. The early model years had issues with the dynamic engine mounts and the electronic rear locking differential. The former had cracking issues and for the diffs if I remember correctly it was a software issue. Don't remember if they failed mechanically. Both of these only apply to the S, though.

Thought there were issues with the 7 speed trannies...
Thanks for the reply. Yes those are some of the reasons why I'm avoiding the S-variant. Doesnt seem like the upgraded seats and extra issues are worth the cost!
