2019 C63S (W205) Rear Diff Slipping?

I bought a used 2019 C63S with 18K miles and started drifting it a couple months ago. It's been a ton of fun, but recently it seems like the locking e-diff isn't functioning the same. I am new to this technology, so I'm trying to learn and understand it as I go here. From what I can tell, perhaps the e-diff is no longer able to lock up properly, because the inside wheel will spin as if it's an open diff when I roll into the throttle on a lighter turn initiation. But if I get the car whipping back and forth on the transitions and use the momentum when sliding, it does fine. It's just those lighter turn-ins with full throttle the inside tire lights up like all the old cops cars in Smokey and the Bandit, haha.

Is it possible that the e-diff clutch plates are failing, or what should I be checking? Any aftermarket options to improve drifting performance? Basically I want to fix the problem and get back to predictable drifting again, and I am wondering where to start looking.

Thanks in advance

Did you get paperwork with the service history on the car? You can also check how the last owner took care of maintenance by checking service history in Mercedes Me app. Do the cheap fix first and have the diff fluid replaced and see if that helps.

I was told all services were performed, but it was a salesman, so not necessarily true. I did ask my euro repair shop to do it, but they basically talked me out of it, saying it's not due until 30k. I'm going to start there as you suggest, and maybe that'll shed some light on it.

Can you toast these diff clutch plates like you can a transmission clutch?

AMGs :)
Best option IMO is to swap the centre out for a proper LSD.
I have heard of guys swapping to the non "S" diff (mechanical LSD) for strip/roll racing duties also.
Either way, the electronic diff on the S seems to not be able to keep up with higher power.

Interesting. I was under the impression that the electronic diff was better than the mechanical diff? Maybe better for ESP traction control purposes, but not necessarily performance activities?

I had the rear diff fluid changed, and they did find a small amount of material in the oil at 24k. They recommended giving it another try, and will open it up for inspection if the issue persists.
