Mercedes w204 c63 2013 coupe transmission in park but says on dash its in reverse?

Mercedes w204 c63 2013 coupe transmission in park but says on dash its in reverse?
Hi I have a mercedes w204 2013 c63 I'm having a issue with my transmission the transmission is in the park position I have checked removed the trim around to make sure it's sitting in the park position but on my dash it says it's in reverse, the transmission moves and goes into neutral and drive but when it is in park it's reading as reverse anyone know what might be the issue I was thinking the transmission sensor or the Transmission control module TCM playing up ?
