A/C belt without removing the front bumper

Many might know that to change the a/c belts wis proclaims you need to remove the front bumper and radiators.
However from recent experience I can attain to the fact that it can be done without removing the bumper.

All the removed parts on the bench.

The front pulley which shows the tensioner on the left.

Two oil feeds to the front oil cooler (turbo).

if you remove the belts you need to keep in mind that the oil feeds have to be removed. I removed the lines from both the sides of the radiator and on the engine, I could highly recommend everyone to do the same.
and bonus if you have a 3D printer, you can print a cap to keep the oil drips to a minimum

all and all with the right length sockets and enough light the process can be pretty straightforward.

My AC pulley is making noise only on initial start and climate control on. If climate control is off there is no noise. There is also a slight burn smell every time it makes noise. I assume I will need a new AC pulley. I tried to put some dielectric grease on the belts but it did not change anything. How did you make enough room to be able to get all the pulleys out? There was hardly any room to even put the dielectric grease onto the belt?! Please do a step by step if you could These pics help a lot in seeing what all is in the way. Please don't tell me you were able to do it by just removing the oil feed lines?!

Thanks!

P.S. I've never seen a C63 AMG estate?!

C63 AMG estate was only sold in Europe I suppose, has been delivered both as non s and s variant.

to make enough room I removed the the oil cooler in the front.
Since I have small hands I made do. But if I were to do it again I would remove the front to make enough room.
removing the ac pulley will need a lot of force and you need to be able to prevent the pulley from spinning when removing the bolt….

so in short, remove the front…

Removing the front is more than I'd like to do. I'll see if I can just get by with removing the lines and oil cooler, possibly the fan as well as it looks like it will create more space.

Thanks for the the assist!

Does anyone have the part number for the AC pulley? From what I I've been told the whole AC unit can only be replaced?!

Did you get the plastic bumper brackets from Mercedes? Mine are brittle and broken too, and I really want to replace them.
