OBD killer

Has anyone tried this when going catless downpipes? Does it clear the cel from the o2 sensors?

Mat Armstrong just used one on his Lamborghini Revuelto and it seemed to work
OBDKiller is at 15:40 (mm:sec) into the video.

obd killer

It's like a half-canceller because when I'm using it and it's on, it doesn't delete the CEL
If there is a CEL while driving, it disappears only when the engine is turned off and on

I really don't like the idea of plugging random obd modules in the port but that's just me.

I'm not familiar with aftermarket exhaust systems, but when you remove O2 sensors and catalytic converters, is this not a modification of the emissions system that is illegal? Do suppliers of these systems disclaim liability or state that their products are not street legal? Seems also that if you live where smog testing is required, you can't do this (?).
