c63s - random hiccups
Newbie here and help needed. I have a 2017 C63s with 49k on the clock. i live in the UK. ONLY when the engine is warm temp wise the car hiccups randomly... sometime under acceleration or sometimes just driving along - the revs drop, you take your foot off the accelerator, the car resets, the revs pick up and away it goes (all within a second or two)..... someone mentioned to me this was the wet clutch issue but i'm not so sure. Any one got a bright idea as to what is happening and how to cure it???? as i say it only happens when the car engine is up to temp (when the cluster changes from blue temp numbers to white).

Never heard anymore from him - thats bad.
Its allways the same - read error codes with MB Xentry ( nothing else) and then tell us .
if too much error codes - clear them - drive and after problem was again read error code with xentry again.

Doesn’t sound like a wet clutch issue and I can’t think of having read about a similar issue before. As said above, reading out the codes is the first step to see if it’s logging anything and before going any further, I need to remember to ask if the car is tuned or was ever tuned? Unfortunately, folks never post the full story and background of the car and anything they’ve modified.

These problems will come from Coil Packs, MCT transmission or air/fuel issues.
If this were my car, I'd be doing this:
- Star/Xentry diagnostic scan/or AMG equivalent not a generic OBD2 reader. Look at live misfire counters per cylinder, any pending codes, and transmission adaptation data after the car has been driven until hot so the fault is more likely to show
- I'll change spark plugs and clean the MAF
- If that doesn’t fix it, I'll check MCT fluid level and condition (change every 40k miles) and do a transmission adaptation. Fluid plus adaptation often smooths it out. Pretty rare to have clutch packs replaced unless the car has been thrashed
