Looking for a referral @ FJ Mercedes..

Interested in a pre-owned vehicle there and the email responses I've been receiving have been bordering on patronizing.

I have yet to get a simple answer to a question I've asked, instead I've been told how wonderful their dealer is, how I can get the best deal by going to the dealership, blah blah..

I'm looking for a sales person who won't pawn me off on an assistant or business dev person and who isn't going to give me the FJ song and dance.

Thanks!

lol, I don't have anyone there, but I know exactly what you're talking about.

they're pretty much a joke and won't discuss anything over the phone.

I love how they always have an "assistant" or "manager" call you.

if you weren't after a specific vehicle, I would say go elsewhere.

I'm looking at something nearly 100k and feel their emails are patronizing and have received at least 6 voicemails in one day, not one of which answered my question.. Ie what is the price of the car.

Maybe ill just hold off and wait for another dealer.

I get they are providing a service experience but under the cover is a really pushy, tacky sales tactic i would expect at joes auto barn, not this kind of dealer.

I bought my car there just because they had the car I wanted, and they were okay when I was buying the car but after that, you will be treated like a second hand. Sorry FJ... you suck in my book.

I want to add I had good experience with MB Long Beach but that has been a long time ago.

MB Long Beach is sleezy as hell. They asked for my license to test drive a CLK55 Vert. When we came back, they pulled the "oh, our manager went home with your license, come back tomorrow or in a few hours to get it." I raised hell and told them I'm calling the cops immediately and that I would sue if I didn't have it back ASAP. I got it back in 2 minutes. SLEEZE *****.

We have some members who actually work at MB Foothill Ranch that seemed very helpful. I would give it a shot there.

First of all you should not leave to test drive without your license specially in a car you don't own. They usually just make a copy of it to get your info. But I agree, basically, anyone can have a bad experience with any dealership.
